Arcooda Option Black - Chassis/Speakers/PSU

We knew going into this project that a low-latency option would be something discerning people would be looking for. Sure enough, it was one of the first questions we were asked. If you want to approach the latency of a CRT there was only one company to my mind that could deliver such a panel, and that was Arcooda.

Luckily for us, Arcooda love what we are doing and we’re delighted to say are fully supporting our products. So you can get in on our platform now and upgrade it to what we’ve always termed “the unicorn panel” when it’s available in a few month's time.*

Like unicorns, the ultimate panel is tricky to find, hard to tame and a challenge to own, and it takes a special kind of person to embark on that quest for ultimate retro display perfection.

This package has been made available so that a small number of our customers who need to try and reach the latency of CRTs can get a foot in the door.

Components included

  •   - Main 19" Chassis in colour above in title
  •   - Button bar
  •   - Rotating Stand
  •   - 3" Stereo speakers
  •   - Strong packaging

These components depend on Arcooda final design

  •  - PSU, this is our standard one and depends on Arcooda board.
  •  - XRI Backplane depending on Arcood controller design
  •  - Remote control (Firmware depending)

Note: The Arccoda panel and controller upgrade package will be ordered directly from Arcooda once it is ready. Please be aware we are not in control of the time scale or supply chain, but we are giving as much support as is necessary for this complex but outstanding upgrade because we know how much people are going to love it.

For more details please watch the video.

OUR BEST ADVICE

Our recommendation for how to proceed if you want the Checkmate-compatible Arcooda panel when it comes out is this - buy the full monitor kit with the existing panel, use it and love it for a few months while you are waiting, and upgrade to the Arcooda when it arrives. When the Arocooda panel and controller are ready to purchase (at an estimated cost of $399 compared to our basic panel internals at $149) you can add it to your monitor.

If you decide against this advice please be aware that to upgrade your chassis to our standard components after we have completed Kickstarter shipment the price will be higher. We estimate this will be around $199 due to higher costs at our end for post-Kickstarter.

We want to ensure you get the option that suits you best, but we also know the complex issues involved in this unicorn panel creation. If you have any queries please contact Arcooda for updates.

*How many months is entirely out of our control, as to get a panel this good is a complex and difficult-to-predict supply chain and timeline equation. The only thing we can promise for sure is that it will be as short as it can be. Perfection is worth the wait, though, yes? I mean this is a unicorn we’re talking about.
