HDMI Output Option
This monitor has an HDMI output built in some times modern capture devices cannot handle the 1280x1024 size video frame. This is our compatible HDMI-USB capture device. Essentially, whatever is displayed on the 1280x1024 panel is intercepted and sent to the external HDMI output socket and then passed through to your recording system.
The monitor then acts like one of those high-end video conversion devices, allowing the retro Youtube/Twitch game streamer to play the games and record in real-time to OBS etc. So inputs on the Composite, S-Video, RGB Scart, Component, CGA, EGA etc. can be viewed on the Checkmate Display but also streamed/recorded live at the same time.
The output from the capture card will be 1280x1024, and not 16:9 so you might want to adjust the settings on OBS to accommodate. This is an old video showing an early prototype, at that time the HDMI was not built onto the monitor as standard.
